An 8-day classic safari through Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Samburu and Ol Pejeta, by private 4×4 land cruiser.

The Mara is, in fact, the northern part of the Serengeti ecosystem and plays host to the vast herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra during the months of July to October. Lesser-known species such as topi, hartebeest, waterbuck Eland and many small mammals create a kaleidoscopic picture of wildlife.

Day by day

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Nairobi / Aberdare National Park

   Lunch · Dinner

   Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with meet & greet by our representative/pick up from your Nairobi Hotel, you will meet your driver guide for safari briefing, drive to Aberdare National Park, arrive in time for lunch and check in, leisure, afternoon game viewing from your deck until sunset. Dinner and overnight at The Ark Lodge on Full board basis.

   The Ark Lodge; Set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, iconic and yes, quirky. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Resembling and named after Noah's Ark, The Ark comprises of three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide a superb location for wildlife to be seen. So that you don't miss any animal sightings, the night guard will buzz your room when special animals come to the waterhole. The Ark has four viewing areas for observing the ever-present animal activity. There is also a ground level bunker – the perfect hideout for the discerning photographer. 2. Day 2

   Aberdare National Park / Samburu National Park

   Breakfast at your Lodge, check out and drive to Samburu National Park, arrive in time for lunch and leisure, afternoon game drive until sunset.

   Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp on Full board basis.

   Ashnil Samburu Camp; sits in Buffalo Springs Game Reserve which takes its name from an oasis of crystal-clear water at the western end of the reserve. It is separated from Samburu National Reserve by Ewaso Nyiro River and is less hilly and dense yet very attractive. There are a total number of 30 luxury tents; 18 doubles, 9 with twin beds and 3 with triple beds. Each of the exclusive comfortable deluxe tents provides a perfect view of the Ewaso Nyiro River and the beautiful surrounding landscape. Every spacious tent consists of a dressing area, sitting area, luggage rack and en-suite facilities to provide a memorable stay close to nature.

3. Day 3

   Samburu National Park

   Breakfast at your camp, spend 01 full day in Samburu National Park, with morning and afternoon game drive.

   All meals and overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp on Full board basis.

4. Day 4

   Samburu National Park / Ol Pejeta Conservancy

   Breakfast · Lunch · Dinner

   Breakfast at your camp and drive to Ol Pejeta conservancy, arrive in time for lunch and leisure, afternoon private game drive in the conservancy until sunset.

   Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Serena Camp on Full board basis.

   There are also optional activities at Ol Pejeta conservancy that are available with extra cost Sweetwaters Serena Camp; The Camp is located on the plains of Mount Kenya, clustered around a water hole and set in the pristine calm of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The camp features 39 luxury tents. Each with its own private veranda overlooking the water hole and a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. The recently built Morani Wing features 17 specious deluxe double, twin and triple tents. The central Rhino Restaurant offers both regional and international cuisine.

   The property offers a garden, a bar, swimming pool, private waterhole and night viewing bar, conference room, wedding planning, and honeymoon venue, gift shop, business center.

5. Day 5

   Ol Pejeta Conservancy / Lake Nakuru National Park

   Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge; Located on a range of hills that form the western limits of Africa's Great Rift Valley, the lodge offers spectacular views over the vastness of Africa. The lodge also overlooks Lake Nakuru and its surrounding National Park, one that is a paradise for bird watchers and wildlife lovers alike. Lake Nakuru National Park is mainly a wooded and bushy grassland with a wide ecological diversity and characteristic habitats that range from the lake waters to the escarpment and ridges. Situated in the Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru is the heart of a small national park, best known for its volcanic scenery and enormous populations of flamingos. Sightings of rhinos, lions and other animals are also possible. At 188 square kilometres, Lake Nakuru National Park is a relatively small fenced wildlife reserve, of which around a third is taken up by the lake itself. The area is most famous for its enormous populations of flamingos which nest along the shoreline. Depending on the season, there can be hundreds of thousands, possible even millions of these birds on view.

   The Park is also renowned for its populations of rare black rhinos, white rhinos and Rothschild giraffes. Predators including lions, leopards and cheetahs are also present and seen with reasonable regularity.

6. Day 6

   Lake Nakuru National Park / Masai Mara

   Breakfast · Lunch · Dinner

   Breakfast at the camp and check out, depart for the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch and check inn at Mara Serena Lodge. Afternoon at Leisure with afternoon private game. Later return to your lodge for dinner & overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge/Pride Inn Mara Camp on Full board basis.

   Mara Sopa Lodge; Masai Mara Sopa Lodge is located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature. All the buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs and these stretch along the line of the hills with the impressively large public area buildings and the swimming pool at their center. Masai Mara Sopa Guests are drawn to the ethnic design of this Lodge, which itself is surrounded by a landscape rich in flora, from wild olive, bitter aloe vera, croton and Mexican trees. The Lodge has 50 round buildings, each with two rooms. Eight of the 50 cottages at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge have interconnecting rooms. The honeymoon suite is situated at the top of the property providing an uninterrupted view. This very spacious suite has a king-size bed, a shower and a sunken bath. A spacious veranda is perfect to watch the sunset or enjoy private meals. 7. Day 7

   Masai Mara

   One full day spent in the Mara Triangle Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Elephant and Buffalo abound in the riverine forests, while out on the grasslands Impala and Thompson's gazelle can be seen together with their attendant predators such as lion, Cheetah, Hyena and Jackal.

8. Day 8

   Masai Mara / Nairobi / Depart

   Breakfast at your Lodge/Camp and check out, with game drive enroute you will drive back to Nairobi and arrive in time for farewell lunch, later drop off at JKIA for your flight back home.
